1959: PIONEERS AND INNOVATORS

H. C. Sonderegger and W. P. Kistler had the vision to CHANGE THE WORLD. With their passion for technology and their curiosity of how to implement their brilliant idea "from crystal to sensor" they built the basis for Kistler Innovation. In 1961 they introduced the world's first quartz force sensor. The sensor business was extended with electronics.

2002: ROLF SONDEREGGER

took over the leadership of Kistler Group and made sure to continue the status of being the number ONE in measurement technology. We have been growing rapidly by INNOVATION and integration of new products. The product portfolio could be as well extended by 14 acquisitions within the last 20 years (+562 employees).

INNOVATORS THINK AHEAD

We align our product portfolio to the needs of our customers. We have expanded our product portfolio over the years: from sensors, to electronics, to systems, to solutions, to data. With the steady growth of employees and changing market needs, we have adapted our organization and business model three times. A reorganization requires a clear strategy. Our strategy is aligned with the mega trends of the ever-changing world, which have a significant impact on our future.

With globally more than 2'200 employees and different market needs, a common understanding of our strategy is key. As leaders we need to make sure that every single member of staff works towards the same goals and points their efforts in the same direction. Strategy help us define our business.

2020: KI1000 JOURNEY, STRATEGY

As Innovators we have a strategy with ambitious long-term goals. The goal of Kistler Next was to reach 500'000'000 CHF by 2020. In the last years we have lost momentum and Corona delayed our plan. We will reach Ki500 almost 4 years later.

2023: LET'S MAKE THE QUANTUM LEAP AS ONE KISTLER

To reach "KI1000" we need to gain momentum again.

Big steps are required. QUANTUM LEAP.

KI1000 ORGANIZATION

Our organization is formed according to our Kistler Business System (KBS). The mega trends show us the direction. New markets might create the need to form our organization. This is why we have to monitor the mega trends constantly.

In the center of our ONE Kistler chart, we have our CORPORATE STRATEGY. All stakeholders of the outer circles need to develop and implement their strategy according to the Group's expectations.

All strategies have binding frames and expectations (Cost frame / Benchmark).

In the inner circle we have our people responsible for the platforms. They support all OEs/BUs, countries and regions.

The Head of OEs will make sure that the BUs follow the strategy. The Head of BUs are responsible for the Product Roadmaps (our future). Our Sales in the main countries need to follow the direction of the BUs.

The COOs of China and USA have the strategic responsibility for their countries.

The Head of Regions are totally independent from the OE's/BU's direction Their goal is to find the right market and perform on the operative level with double-digit profitability.

All Sales take the initiative to provide customer's feedback (trends, needs, issues, etc.) to the BUs/Countries/Regions. With this we can better plan our product roadmap.

People of all functions are invited. Almost half of the participants are Sales. More than half of the participants are from region DACH. Switzerland arrives with > 80 and Germany with > 70 people.

PROGRAM

DAY I: one plenary session. We will get an overview of the big picture of KI1000. What is the direction to our future? What initiatives have we already started? Which projects are going well? What needs to be adjusted and improved? What are the future steps to take?

DAY I: is split into sessions of OE sand PFs. Four sessions of the OE in the morning. The focus is to understand the strategy and the cost frames of the OE. In the afternoon, the OEs will break-out into 11 sessions of the BUs. The core topic will be our product roadmaps. P&L and FICO will have the entire day their own session.

DAY III: The workshop leaders will announce and promote their topics in October. You can then select your workshop of interest on this landing page under "My selection". China, USA, REG-W and REG-E will have their own session instead of WS I. So they can select two workshops.

KiMix-Dinner on 7 November 2023

300 people from 32 nations. We want to promote our global mindset. For this evening the idea is that you will appear with your team in the clothes which are typical for your country/region. You can exchange your ideas within our Beekeeper Group.

HOW WILL YOU TRAVEL TO SPAIN?

People from USA/South America or Asia (intercontinental flights) fly with regular planes to Switzerland. They will have a stopover on 4 Nov. 2023 to recover from the possible jet lag. On 05 Nov. 2023 they will fly with our Charter to Spain.

People from Europe will fly with regular planes to Spain (Alicante or Valencia)

People from Switzerland or those who declared Zurich airport for departure will fly with our Charter to Spain.

People who make their own travel to Spain should check-in at the Grand Luxor Hotel on 5 November 2023 at 17:00 the latest.

OUR ADVENTURE STARTS BEFORE GSSM


We will fly with the charter of Edelweiss, Airbus A320. The aircraft can carry 174 Kistler passengers.

There is no official document which serves as a flight ticket. You should have receive from us a separate e-mail with your boarding pass and personal passport /ID data to confirm your charter flight(s). You need to show your passport/ID (visa) when boarding. These data must be identical as stated in the e-mail confirmation.

Please check-in on 5 November 2023 from 10:00 AM at Zurich airport, Terminal 1. Your luggage must be checked-in by 12:00 noon the latest. We will have our own Kistler check-in counter at Zurich airport, Terminal 1. Please consider: Luggage max. 23 kg, hand luggage max. 8 kg.

HOW TO GET FROM ...

The airport is 2 km from the hotel (20 minutes walking distance). The best way to get from Zurich Airport (ZRH) to ibis budget Zurich Airport, Glattbrugg is by using the streetcar (tram line 10 or 12) which takes 3-4 mins and costs around 3.00 CHF. You get off the 2nd stop called Unterriet. The bus stop is directly in front of the hotel.

If you wish to visit Zurich city, use tram number 10. The last stop is Zurich Hauptbahnhof (30 minutes ride). The ticket costs around 4.00 CHF. You can buy tickets at the ticketing machine with Swiss coins or credit card or you can buy tickets online (zvv.ch)
